Americans drink black tea more than any other type of tea. Keemun Hao Ya is not your average black tea. Our premium loose leaf tea is imperial quality, favored by the British royal family for afternoon tea. Hao Ya means fur covered tips and applies only to the highest grade of Keemun. We can't say enough good things about this special tea (admittedly, we're biased) from the town of Qi Men in Anhui province, China.
The leaves for Keemun Hao Ya are picked from the tips of the camellia sinensis sinensis tea varietal (small leaf), which means they're high in antioxidants and require the most skilled artisans to craft into thin tight twists that infuse into a gorgeous deep burgundy liquor. Keemun Hao Ya's taste is rich, full-bodied and smooth with hints of sweetness balanced by a slight smokiness. The aroma is mild yet exquisitely complex.
Go ahead and treat yourself to a royal experience. Once you've tried our Keemun Hao Ya, it'll be hard to go back to just black tea. This rare tea can and should be resteeped several times -- it's worth your senses.
You can make approximately 15 cups from 30g of tea and 25 cups from 50g of tea, more if you steep the leaves multiples times. |
