We founded Puritea Lounge because we fell in love with the rich taste and aroma of a premium Puerh tea. This rare tea is not everyone's cuppa, but we think the adventurous would discover in premium Puerh a tea that is as unique as it is flavorful. Long prized by the Chinese for its medicinal properties, Puerh tea contains even more antioxidants than other teas to improve digestion, aid weight loss and fight cancer and cholesterol.
Connoisseurs consider Puerh tea best when it's been properly aged, a process that can take up to 50 years or more. However, a premium loose leaf tea can be enjoyed at any time during this aging process. The small twisted leaves of our Premium Puerh release a richly intense woody aroma in an unforgettable amber-colored liquor with a slight astringency characteristic of younger Puerh leaves balanced by a smooth mellowness.
We recommend steeping Premium Puerh several times to bring out the sweetness and earthy chocolaty flavor. This premium tea can be savored on its own, but it's especially effective as a tonic when accompanying heartier foods or after a meal.
You can make approximately 12 - 15 cups from 30g of tea and 20 - 25 cups from 50g of tea, more if you steep the leaves multiples times. |
